Sunday the 4th
Few of the boys fished on Sully high water
Ada won the comp with a nice 5lb plus bass and a couple of straps for 14lb.
Jetwash Velda was second again with a bass 4lb plus, and a thornie. Apparently the bass died of exhaustion by the time it was reeled in, Velda cast out and then fell asleep to discover the fish had dragged the 8oz weight back to the shore from the middle of the channel. He weighed 11lb ish
Micky was 3rd with a strap and a few bits. I think

For details of the boat trips see the boat results
Nice to see a few fish caught over the weekend
The boat trip was won by Lucky Lougher With 74lb ish A few different species were caught including Tope to 24lb, this increased to 42lb within two days. I presume the Peterson scale has been added Ha Smoothhound, rays and a few small Pollack while feathering for mackerel.
On the Sunday the boys were concentrated around the sully area Jet wash did the biss with a conger, dogs and a small codling for just under 14lb, he dropped a smoothhound and micky next to him landed one, looks like the veldas been talking to colsie. Few other congers caught and a couple of biggies dropped. Ada had a Minnie sub on in the bay but it didn’t surface likewise with Royston on the weed ledge. Oh those Russians? Cardiff.
Results From Sunday 16th May. The comp was changed from Fonty to sker to a rover, due to Adverse weather conditions. Results Colsie 1st a 7lb conger and a few dogs 13lb Jet wash and Micky joint second with 11lb 4 4th the rock 5th two rods and 6th Ice-cream. I was a sad 7th. Me and Jet wash fished Stout lovely day you could here the foghorns all day at Nash point, Jet wash was warned that this was may area and he was going to get stuffed, as it turned out he had 2 rays and a few dogs. Yes he stuffed me. 1 of the rays he had was a spotted and the other the only identification I could give it was a Cuckoo ray due to the markings on the wings. (It was probably a spotted or an undersized Blonde. Colsie fished Hays. The rock and two rods fished Fonty Not sure about the others |
